IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Your rights under this warranty are in addition to the consumer guarantees provided under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded.
ROH Wheels provides this Limited Warranty to the original retail purchaser against material failure or faulty workmanship in ROH wheels from the date of original retail purchase. This warranty is subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.
1. Warranty Coverage & Duration
- Lifetime Structural Warranty: ROH warrants that its wheels will be free from structural failure under normal and intended use for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. This structural warranty applies only to the structural integrity of the wheel and does not cover cosmetic defects or finishes.
- Painted Finish Warranty: ROH warrants the painted finish (including but not limited to paint, and powder coat) on the face of the wheel to be free from peeling or lifting for a period of three (3) years from the date of original retail purchase.
- Accessories: This warranty for any components and accessories supplied with the wheel (e.g., centre caps, nuts and CBL rings) is limited to one (1) year from the date of original retail purchase against material defects or faulty workmanship.
2. Conditions and Exclusions (Circumstances that May Void Your Warranty)
This warranty does not cover any structural or paint finish damage resulting from external impacts or surface abrasions. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Damage caused by collisions with kerbs, potholes, road debris, or other obstacles.
- Scratching, chipping, or abrasion of the wheel surface caused by improper handling, cleaning with abrasive materials, or contact with hard objects.
- Damage resulting from careless parking, including scraping against gutters, driveways, or other roadside infrastructure.
- Any deformation, bending, or cracking resulting from excessive force or misuse, including off-road use beyond the wheel’s intended design parameters.
- Abnormal use, neglect, or lack of proper care and maintenance (e.g., prolonged build-up of salt residue, brake dust, harsh cleaning chemicals, abrasive cleaning methods).
- Improper use of the vehicle, including, but not limited to, off-road racing, competitive events, or commercial applications not approved for the specific wheel.
- Improper Installation or Use: Damage, structural failure, or finish degradation occurred due to:
- Improper fitment, installation, or inadequate tightening of wheel nuts/bolts according to the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended torque specifications.
- Use beyond recommended load capacities and inflation pressures for the specific wheel and vehicle application.
- Non-Genuine Parts: Use of non-genuine ROH wheel nuts, spacers, adapters, or accessories not supplied and/or approved in writing by ROH.
- Alterations: Any alteration, modification, repair (other than by ROH or its authorised agents), or re-machining of the wheel.
- Transfer of Ownership: The warranty expires upon transfer of title of any products by the original retail purchaser.
- Proof of Purchase: Verification of original retail purchase (e.g., original sales receipt or invoice) is not available.
- Discounted/Clearance Items: Where wheels were purchased as heavily discounted, obsolete, or discontinued lines, and this was clearly communicated at the time of sale. Such products may not be covered by the terms of this warranty due to unavailability of replacement parts or wheels.
- Balancing Issues: Claims relating to wheels being unable to be balanced properly, unless diagnostic evidence is produced by the customer immediately after the wheels have been fitted to the vehicle, demonstrating an inherent manufacturing defect.
3. Maintenance Requirements
To maintain the quality and longevity of your ROH wheels and to ensure the validity of this warranty, it is imperative that you follow appropriate maintenance procedures. Failure to do so may adversely affect your ability to rely on this warranty. We provide the following guidelines:
- Periodic Inspection: Carry out a periodic monthly inspection of the wheel nuts/bolts to ensure they have not become loose.
- Regular Cleaning: Clean wheels regularly with running water and a gentle, pH-neutral car wash soap. Dry with a clean chamois. Avoid abrasive cleaners, brushes, or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish.
- Corrosive Environments: If your vehicle is used in environments exposed to corrosive materials, chemicals, excessive dirt, or ocean air, more frequent and diligent cleaning is required to prevent degradation of the protective surface.
4. Warranty Claim Procedure
To initiate a warranty claim, the original retail purchaser must:
- Immediate Notification: As soon as you discover any potential defect, damage, or fault covered by this warranty, you must immediately contact the retail or wholesale dealer from whom the product was originally purchased to arrange for an inspection. Prompt notification is crucial to prevent consequential damage and facilitate assessment. Failure to report in a timely fashion may affect your claim.
- Return to Place of Purchase: The wheel(s) on which warranty is claimed must be returned to the place of purchase for visual inspection. Transportation costs for returning the wheel(s) are to be pre-paid by the purchaser.
- Proof of Purchase: Provide a copy of the original sales receipt or invoice. Without valid proof of purchase, your claim may be refused.
- Initial Assessment: The dealer will conduct an initial assessment. If further inspection is required, the wheel(s) may need to be returned to ROH for assessment. In such cases, ROH will advise on the process.
- ROH Discretion: Should ROH determine that the wheel has failed to perform as expected under this warranty due to a covered defect, the wheel will be replaced at the sole and absolute discretion of ROH. Such repair or replacement shall not include the cost of removal, shipping, installation, or reinstallation of the wheel.
- Ineligible Claims: If returned products are found to be ineligible for warranty coverage under these terms, the product will be returned to the sender, without repair or replacement, at the sender’s expense.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, this warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, save for the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. In no event shall ROH be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the product, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of profit, or damage to other property, except where such liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
ROH retains the sole and absolute discretion to determine the validity of all claims made pursuant to the terms and conditions of this warranty.
